How and where Can I Use Millboard?

Millboard decks are extremely versatile and can be used in virtually any outdoor area, subject to building regulations. Create terraces, cladding, siding, balconies, roof gardens, walkways, bridges, seating, tables, steps, raised beds, planters and more. Millboard can be used as a decorative surface for most outdoor designs, provided it is fixed to a structural base.

Without a doubt. The pressed wood planks do not absorb moisture and are resistant to chlorine and salt water. They also have the highest rating in terms of slip resistance. Therefore, Millboard is particularly suitable for use in swimming pool environments or other wet areas. Thanks to the closed-pore surface, nothing can penetrate the material and, conversely, nothing can escape from it. You can even place Millboard in your aquarium as decoration without affecting the water quality.

No problem. If wood or charcoal is burned, the grill or brazier used must be covered with cement or sheet metal plates that protrude approximately 1 m above the brazier. Embers or burning material should be removed immediately to avoid damage or permanent marks on the surface.

Millboard facades impress with their appearance and properties. Like the decks, Millboard facade solutions also impress with their exceptionally high UV resistance and dimensional stability, which lasts for decades. They are also resistant to rot, insects and fungi. Millboard cladding systems are designed to last in the long term without the negative effects of weather or maintenance.

INSTALLATIONS

What Screws should I Use for Assembly?

Use Millboard Durafix screws. To fix the boards, use the supplied Durafix® screws, which have been specially developed for Millboard. The boards are installed with the help of Millboard's Duofix installation. The supplied screws must also be used for the substructure.

Wood-plastic/aluminum planks have a lifespan of 30 to 40 years. Wood, no matter how it is treated, only lasts a fraction of that time. The decomposition of wood is accelerated if the terrace is additionally exposed to adverse weather conditions. If you had to use wood for the substructure, you would have to replace it after a few years. This would mean that the floor would have to be repaired. That's why we recommend aluminum or Plas-Pro. Third-party aluminum substructures are not compatible with Millboard decks.
