Innovation
Biopolymers
The Lastane layer of Millboard boards is made in part from renewable raw materials, using natural oil biopolymers/polyols instead of petroleum-based materials. Natural oil polyols are derived from natural vegetable oils, a fully renewable raw material base.
Recycled material
More than a third of the raw materials used to manufacture the structural core of Millboard is recycled. These materials were diverted from waste streams and reprocessed to create premium ingredients for the boards. This helps maintain the earth's limited resources and prevents waste.
100% recyclable packaging
The cardboard for the samples and product packaging is 100% recyclable. Leaflets and printed marketing materials use paper from FSC-certified forests and, wherever possible, use the FSC brand tree logo to confirm this.
Lower carbon footprint
Millboard products are manufactured according to the international standard ISO 14064 by a UKAS accredited testing laboratory. The most recently recorded carbon footprint is 1.31 kg/CO2 per m2. Millboard continues to make an effort to ensure that it limits its effect on climate change.
Achilles CR Certification
Millboard meets the requirements of the Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification and has measured its greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064 Part 1 of 2006. It is also committed to managing and reducing its emissions as much as possible.
The Five Values
Minimum use of natural material
Our products do not use natural wood and minimal raw materials, and we aim to keep it that way. We believe that a sustainable future involves leaving the natural world intact as much as possible.
Maximizing the use of recycled material
All decking is manufactured with recycled minerals, and our substructure system and materials are made entirely from recycled or recyclable plastic and aluminum.
Recycling generated waste
Both in the factory and in our offices and showrooms, we have an effective recycling program to contribute to the circular economy, which includes a scheme to encourage the reuse of product samples instead of their disposal.
Caring for the environment
Our factory is located in a beautiful natural environment, supporting diverse flora and fauna. We maintain the environment carefully for the wild creatures that visit us and have plans to establish active beekeeping.
Environmental protection
We are ISO 14001 certified and our goal is to go further in meeting the requirements set by the standard.
